2 Days Safari to Mikumi Overview
This 2-Days Wilderness Safari takes you from Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park via SGR train. Enjoy a scenic afternoon game drive upon arrival, spotting elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, and more. Spend the night at Hotel with full-board meals. On day two, embark on a morning game drive, then return to Dar es Salaam and ferry back to Zanzibar. The package includes all transfers, park fees, meals, and private safari vehicle for a smooth, short wildlife escape.

Day 1
Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park (via SGR Train)
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transferred to the ferry terminal for the fast ferry to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival in Dar, our team will meet you and transfer you to the SGR train station.
You’ll board the modern Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) train to Mikumi Station (via Morogoro). Upon arrival, you will be met by your safari guide and proceed directly to Mikumi National Park for a late afternoon game drive.
Mikumi is known for its high concentration of wildlife including elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and predators like lions and leopards. After your game drive, you will check in at Mikumi Resort for dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Mikumi National Park – Dar es Salaam – Zanzibar (via SGR Train)
After an early breakfast, head out for a morning game drive to explore more of Mikumi’s landscapes and wildlife. With a picnic lunch, you will continue your safari experience through the park.
In the early afternoon, you’ll be transferred to the SGR station for your train back to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival in Dar, a driver will take you to the ferry terminal for your fast ferry to Zanzibar. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel in Zanzibar in the evening.
