This 3-days Wilderness Safari takes you from Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park via SGR train. Enjoy thrilling game drives with chances to see elephants, lions, giraffes, and more. Experience Tanzania’s rich wildlife in the Mkata floodplain, and spend two nights at Hotel. On the final day, visit a traditional Maasai village before returning to Zanzibar. The safari includes all transfers, meals, park fees, and cultural activities for a seamless, private, and unforgettable adventure.

Day 1
Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam – Mikumi (via SGR Train)
Your safari adventure begins after breakfast with a hotel pickup in Zanzibar. You will be transferred to the ferry terminal for your fast ferry to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival in Dar, our representative will meet you and transfer you to the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) station for your comfortable journey to Mikumi.
Upon reaching Mikumi Station, your private safari guide will receive you and drive straight into Mikumi National Park for an exciting afternoon game drive. The park is home to elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, lions, and leopards, among many other species.
In the evening, transfer to your lodge for check-in, dinner, and overnight rest.

Day 2
Full-Day Safari in Mikumi National Park
Wake up to a fresh breakfast and set out for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park. With your picnic lunch packed, explore the Mkata Floodplain, one of the best wildlife-viewing areas in the park.
This region offers the chance to see large herds of elephants, wildebeests, impalas, giraffes, and zebras. Predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas are often seen hunting or resting. The park is also a bird lover’s paradise, boasting over 400 species.
Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Maasai Village Visit – Return to Zanzibar
After breakfast, you’ll visit a nearby Maasai village for a cultural experience. Learn about the traditional Maasai way of life, including their customs, dress, homes, and community values. You'll have the chance to interact with local Maasai families, take photos, and even join in traditional songs or dances.
Following the village visit, you'll be transferred to the SGR station for your train back to Dar es Salaam. On arrival, you’ll be taken to the ferry terminal for your return to Zanzibar, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel.
